Website hosting is often an afterthought when it comes to planning your business website, but that doesn’t have to be the case.
With Essex Dev, I supply all new website builds with complimentary hosting for 12 months, and following that hosting is less than £7 per month when paid annually.
It’s important to think about the different types of hosting when launching a new website. The primary concern will be the technology stack the server is running – can it actually run your website.
I’ll help take the guesswork out, and handle the set up from start to finish.
Shared Hosting or VPS?
The hosting I provide is optimised for the websites we produce, and your website won’t be sitting on what’s known as ‘shared hosting’.
If you think of shared hosting as a building, it would be similar to a block of flats. One structure shared by potentially hundreds of people; sharing both space and resources.
VPS’ or virtual private servers, on the other hand are more like houses. Your own space, and your own resources – you aren’t at the mercy of other residents should something go wrong with their part of the server.
